Cattaraugus-Allegany BOCES has announced its adult education course in Masonry will now begin on Wednesday, February 16, 2011.  The 42-hour course -- originally scheduled to begin on February 2 -- will meet at the BOCES Center at Olean from 6-9 p.m. on Wednesdays from 2/16-5/18/2011.

Participants will learn the theory of masonry and the math needed.  Students will also learn to measure with transits and then see how to repair foundations, walls, steps, chimneys, and tile.  The class will finish with understanding basic blueprints and estimating for a small job.  As an added bonus, students will learn the art of building a fireplace from one of the finest masons in the area.

Cost for the program is $450.  Call Nancy Salvucci at 376-8384 to register or for more information.  You can also register online for any BOCES adult education class at www.caboces.org
